The young student came to the master asking, “how should I view my life’s journey”? The master said “learn from the hawk”.

The hawk flies above

   sometimes gliding

      and sometimes flapping its wings

From the advantage of a higher

perspective, it assesses the surrounding area

while, you see only a part

It seems, to your eyes, that the hawk

   flies in a pathless sky

   going where it wills,

   boundless, random, soaring, and watching

But if you observe a gust of wind – jolts it

and it must correct its intended flight path

    its circling, gliding, and diving

are interacting with an unseen energy and force

It seems to be riding an unseen flow of energy

interacting with something you cannot see

but can observe only by watching the

      hawk’s interaction with it

You can begin to see that there is a dance taking place,

a dance of bird and wind,

    updrafts and wing

side drafts of body and tail

There is a working unison between hawk and wind

creating a path in the pathless

And you too can follow the flow of energy

guided by the energies of your heart, while

    climbing and soaring,

    gliding and balancing

neither grasping or holding

    neither controlling or demanding

rather by dancing with the elements,

You can flow with the energy of the Creator,

Creating My Own Path In The Pathless Sky,

so that someday you can move with others

       in a dance of love.
