Elicia Casey, you’re the winner from our last Let’s Get Weird article. She decided to gift us all with her own definition of what her weirdness means to her, beautifully written, creative, and genuinely inspiring.

Thanks for sharing, Elicia.

By Elicia Casey

I went ahead and defined my weirdness (kind of therapeutic).

My weirdness is my grit, the way I walk through fear with faith, even when I don’t know what is on the other side. It’s my refusal to give up on myself, on others, or on what’s possible. I’ve stumbled. I’ve relapsed. I’ve faced shame and failure. And still, I rise rooted in purpose, fueled by passion, and committed to building a life defined by real success. My weirdness shows up in how I lead: with honesty, with heart, and with room for people to grow. I don’t hide my past, I use it. I speak hard truths, fight for second chances, and show up for others the way people once showed up for me. It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being willing, willing to stay, to grow, to lead, and to love. That’s my weird. That’s my power.

Thanks Elicia: Stay Weird My Friend.
