Have you ever watched the people predicting on YouTube? Whether it’s Astrologers, Tarot Card readers or Psychics, they will all say “For Entertainment Purposes Only” somewhere during their readings. It’s called covering your butt. By the way, the YouTube psychics I watched are not big fans of Mr. Trump. Now either AI has only picked anti Trump readers for me, or there aren’t any pro Trump readers.

Speaking of readers, I have always said that I’ll totally believe them if they can tell me the winning lottery numbers. Of course, if they did know the winning numbers, they wouldn’t be doing readings for me. I look at it as entertainment, and I do believe that cards, astrology, etc. do show tendencies that may be happening in your life. It is your responsibility to use your intuition to follow or not follow those life tendencies.

The form of prognostication that I prefer is the I Ching. I Ching is believed to have been developed roughly 2500 to 3000 years ago in China of course. The Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung studied I Ching and was a big believer in it. The reason that I like it is that it takes a while to figure out the answer. One of the easier methods is to toss 3 coins, head and tails. While you’re throwing the coins you are thinking of the question that you want an answer to. Depending on what you throw you get either a straight or interrupted line, or changing lines. The coins are thrown 6 times, and you build what is called a hexagram. You then use a key to figure out how that hexagram answers your question.

At the beginning of 2025 I asked the basic question of what the year was going to be like. I got Hexagram 34 which is Great Strength or Power, which I take to mean improvement if you keep to your course. However, there were 2 changing lines in the hexagram. A changing line is when you get 3 heads or 3 tails and denotes other influences affecting the reading. So, with the changing lines I got Hexagram number 54. Now I was not happy to see that the title of this hexagram was The Marrying Maiden. So, I checked another book, and they called it Propriety / Making Do. My interpretation is to lie low this year and let events run its course.

As you can see I Ching can be quite complicated, but I believe that is what makes it more accurate, because while you are throwing the coins you are continuously thinking of your question. That gives a focus to the reading. There are numerous books available, also you can google, and check YouTube. We have the World at our fingertips.

As long as we are on China, we are now in the year of the Wood Snake. Which signifies wisdom, transformation and personal growth.  Personally, I look at this year as the snake shedding its skin and being reborn. So, I think we should stay under the radar this year and enjoy life.
