If you notice, the byline for our publication is “Igniting Ideas to Change the World.” Our goal is to inspire our readers with different perspectives, and ideas to help us realize our potential to Change the World. We all have that ability because we are all souls with unlimited possibilities open to us. The New Age opened new vistas and broke barriers that have been in place for millennia.

This includes the answer to the question, WHY ARE WE HERE? There is a story offered by the Ageless Wisdom that says nothing material existed before the material universe was created (aka known as the Big Bang in science). In a moment of creativity the Cosmic Mind suddenly caused matter to ..become. This event opened up a NEW area for self-examination by the Cosmic Mind. Consequently, matter and all its qualities and attributes are currently under investigation by the Cosmic Intelligence as to what it is, and what can be done with it. For example, the basic forms of creation are the circle, triangle and square are the foundational shapes combining into unique ways. Just one way the Cosmic Mind is investigating new ways to work with matter. So, the whole thing is an experiment.

As the intelligent thinking aspect of the human being, we are not from this material expression, but are actually an aspect of an energetic particle of the Cosmic Mind. We are an energy inside a human form, because the Cosmic Mind is seeking to understand materiality. Just as we can’t really learn about water unless you swim in it, or drink it. We are using the body for Cosmic Mind, to sense the material environment of Earth. It is said our energy “awareness” originates from Sirius, so we are visitors to Earth. In other words, we are “aliens” on Earth.  (Maybe that’s why we are so fascinated with aliens!)

So, please imagine with me, we are bits of intelligent energy in the Cosmic Mind, one of 60 billion designated for the Earth adventure. The “Wisdom” tells us we get the opportunity to experience life as individuals instead of as part of the whole Cosmic Mind. The story goes, we started in what’s called the Oversoul (we might compare it to Heaven) with a collective consciousness, only aware of being One with others, like the Borg in Star Trek. Imagine how excited we were to become individual. We must have been adventuresome souls to just jump into this reality. But we did have a choice. Only thing is, we had no user manual, no directions, no guidelines.  But, turns out, that was also part of the design. Earth is designed for only 6 billion of us to inhabit it at once, so the other 54 billion must wait until we become “masters”.  But, eventually, we all will do that. After each lifetime, we return to the Oversoul and share our experience with those remaining.

But, before becoming human, we all had to wait (patiently observing) until the humanoid form was perfected to Homo sapiens about 70,000 years ago. When we arrived, suddenly consciousness emerged. That’s why Science can’t find the “missing link” in evolution because there is none.  Consciousness came from Cosmic Mind not the form. So, science and religion are both right!

When we incarnate, an amazing thing happens to us as a consciousness, the body gives us a chance to individualize or to become self-aware in our own unique way. When we pass out of human form, we once again merge into the Oversoul. We carry three permanent atoms with us from our human experience, containing valuable information from our previous lives on Earth. We retain them for our next life experience.  Thus, some people are considered “young” souls and others “old souls” because some of us have more life experiences than others.  The plan is for “young souls” to grow to “old souls” who eventually “master” their life on earth. From then on, the personality experienced on Earth never dies, but will always be part of the Oversoul, and available to help other planetary evolutions.

There’s more to the story, more about how most of us forget past lives while we’re here, and how fear and victimization entered our experience, and what happens after all 60 billion have evolved. That’s perhaps best left for another time. But, to me this is a fascinating story that fits my world view, of why we are here. You are welcome to take it or leave it.
